The Content Strategist is responsible for the overall content plan of an organization, ensuring all content is consistent, engaging, and aligned with the company's business objectives and target audience needs. This role combines analytical thinking, creative planning, and project management skills.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

The Content Strategist's duties typically fall into four main areas: Strategy, Research & Analysis, Content Management, and Governance.

1. Strategy & Planning

  • Develop Content Strategy: Create a comprehensive, long-term content strategy that supports business goals, such as lead generation, brand awareness, and customer retention.
  • Define Brand Voice & Tone: Establish and document style guides, editorial standards, and messaging guidelines to ensure consistency across all channels.
  • Editorial Planning: Create and maintain an editorial calendar for all content production and distribution across platforms (website, blog, social media, email, etc.).
  • SEO Integration: Conduct keyword research and integrate SEO best practices into the content strategy to optimize discoverability and organic search performance.
  • Content Mapping: Map content to the customer journey and buyer personas to ensure relevancy at every stage.

2. Research & Analysis

  • Audience Research: Conduct in-depth research to understand the target audience's needs, preferences, and behaviors.
  • Content Audit & Gap Analysis: Regularly review and audit existing content assets to identify gaps, redundancies, or underperforming content, recommending updates, repurposing, or retirement.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze content performance using metrics (KPIs) like engagement, traffic, and conversion rates, and use this data to iterate and refine the strategy.
  • Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitor content and industry trends to identify new opportunities.

3. Content Management & Collaboration

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Design, Product, UX, Sales, and IT, to align content initiatives with broader company objectives.
  • Content Production Oversight: Brief and guide content creators (writers, designers, video producers) to ensure deliverables meet strategic goals, quality standards, and deadlines.
  • Content Organization: Develop and maintain content models, taxonomies, and metadata frameworks to ensure content is structured, usable, and easy to find.

4. Governance & Operations

  • Establish Workflows: Design and implement efficient workflows for content creation, review, approval, and publication.
  • Content Systems: Work with Content Management Systems (CMS) and other relevant technologies (marketing automation, analytics tools).
  • Quality Control: Ensure all content adheres to legal/compliance requirements, accessibility standards, and established style guides.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹36,814.79 per month
