Role Overview
BuildAmbit is looking for a strategic and execution-oriented Content Strategist who will own the entire content-led growth funnel, from lead acquisition and nurturing to conversion, engagement, retention, and reactivation.
This role goes beyond content creation. The ideal candidate understands how content influences business metrics, supports sales and lifecycle journeys, and improves customer retention through structured communication and education.
Key Responsibilities
1. Content Strategy & Funnel Ownership
- Own and drive the end-to-end content strategy across all funnel stages (TOFU, MOFU, BOFU).
- Design structured content journeys aligned with marketing, sales, and product goals.
- Build content roadmaps focused on lead quality, conversion, and retention.
- Ensure consistency of messaging across channels and touchpoints.
2. Lead Nurturing & Conversion
- Design and execute lead-nurturing programs using content assets and automated workflows.
- Create content that supports MQL to SQL movement and improves conversion quality.
- Collaborate with performance marketing and sales teams to align content with active campaigns.
- Analyse funnel drop-offs and optimise content accordingly.
3. Email Marketing & Lifecycle Communication
- Own BuildAmbit’s email marketing and lifecycle communication strategy.
- Plan and manage automated email flows including onboarding, education, follow-ups, renewals, upsell, and reactivation.
- Write and optimise email copy for clarity, engagement, and conversion.
- Monitor performance metrics such as open rates, CTRs, and conversion rates.
4. Retention, Engagement & Customer Content
- Develop content strategies focused on learner engagement, product adoption, and long-term retention.
- Create educational and value-driven content for existing users and customers.
- Support customer success initiatives with content that reduces churn and improves satisfaction.
- Identify opportunities to increase lifetime value (LTV) through content.
5. Content Creation & Management
- Oversee and contribute to the creation of blogs, landing pages, lead magnets, email campaigns, case studies, and website content.
- Ensure content quality, accuracy, brand tone, and consistency across all platforms.
- Collaborate with designers, video teams, instructional designers, and external contributors.
- Maintain and organise content libraries and documentation.
6. Analytics, Optimisation & Reporting
- Track content performance across the funnel using analytics and CRM tools.
- Measure impact on leads, conversions, engagement, and retention.
- Conduct A/B testing on messaging, subject lines, CTAs, and content formats.
- Share insights, reports, and recommendations with leadership on a regular basis.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–6 years of experience in content strategy, growth marketing, or lifecycle marketing.
- Strong understanding of lead funnels, CRM workflows, and email marketing.
- Experience in B2B, SaaS, or EdTech environments is highly preferred.
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
- Data-driven mindset with comfort in analysing performance metrics.
- Excellent written communication, structuring, and storytelling skills.
Tools & Platforms (Preferred)
- CRM and marketing automation tools (HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce, WebEngage, Clevertap, etc.)
- Email marketing and automation platforms
- Google Analytics and funnel tracking tools
- CMS and collaboration tools (Notion, Google Docs, etc.)
