Content Strategist / Social Content Creator

We’re Looking for Someone Who Lives Online (In a Good Way)

Brown Bag Marketing is looking for a creative thinker + content creator who knows how to turn ideas into content people actually want to watch, save, share, and engage with.

This role is part strategist, part creator, part trend-spotter, part storyteller. One day you might be building a content calendar for a B2B campaign, the next you’re filming behind-the-scenes Reel content for a consumer brand, editing TikToks, writing captions, or jumping on a trend before it peaks.

If your camera roll is full of content ideas, you instinctively notice good branding, and you know the difference between content that’s “fine” and content that actually performs — keep reading.

What You’ll Do

Content Strategy + Creative Planning

  • Build monthly social content calendars and campaign ideas for both B2B and B2C clients
  • Develop content strategies tailored to different audiences, industries, and brand voices
  • Brainstorm creative concepts that align with brand goals and internet culture
  • Stay ahead of trends, audio, platform updates, and emerging content styles
  • Collaborate with our creative, design, and account teams to bring campaigns to life
  • Manage deadlines and priorities across multiple client accounts in a fast-paced agency environment

Create Content People Actually Want to Watch

  • Film and create Instagram Reels, TikToks, stories, LinkedIn content, and other short-form video content
  • Capture behind-the-scenes footage, lifestyle content, interviews, events, and trend-based content
  • Write captions, hooks, scripts, and on-screen copy
  • Edit short-form video content optimized for engagement
  • Create static and motion-based social content that feels native to each platform
  • Adapt content style and messaging depending on whether the audience is corporate, consumer, or somewhere in between

Strategy + Performance

  • Monitor content performance and identify what’s working (and what’s not)
  • Use tools like Sprout Social and platform analytics to schedule content, monitor engagement, and track performance metrics
  • Bring fresh ideas to the table regularly
  • Support community engagement when needed
  • Help clients stay relevant, creative, and culturally connected online

You’d Be a Great Fit If You…

  • Are obsessed with social media, branding, and digital culture
  • Know how to create content that feels authentic — not overly corporate
  • Can balance creativity with strategy
  • Have strong writing and communication skills
  • Are comfortable filming content on-site, on-the-go, or with clients
  • Can confidently shoot and edit Reels/TikTok-style content
  • Understand how content differs across B2B and B2C audiences
  • Know what performs on Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Facebook
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, multi-client agency environment
  • Can juggle multiple deadlines, brands, and content calendars without missing a beat
  • Are proactive, organized, and idea-driven

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in content creation, social media, or digital marketing
  • Experience working on both B2B and B2C social/content campaigns
  • Strong utilization of Canva, Capcut and other editing tools
  • Experience using social media management and reporting platforms such as Sprout Social
  • Ability to independently film and edit Instagram Reels and short-form video content
  • Strong portfolio showcasing social-first content and campaign work
  • Strong understanding of current social trends, creators, and platform best practices
  • Agency experience is strongly preferred

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
