Advocate Marketers, a marketing consultancy, is seeking a specialist to write a variety of content in aid of marketing efforts for its clients, particularly for search engine optimization.
Primary tasks would include:
- Writing content oriented to providing value to target audience, increasing traffic from web sources and establishing credibility with prospective customers
- Creating high-quality long-form content, particularly blogs, for on-site publishing to optimize multiple websites for search engines and conversion
- Drafting guest posts and short-form content at scale for off-site posting and commenting with a view to creating authoritative backlinks to websites
- Working with SEO specialist and other marketing colleagues to research keywords, best practices, trends and themes to proactively ideate on topics, content and strategies
- Ensuring content adheres to SEO best practices and brand guidelines, including style, grammar and tone
- Developing a deep understanding of clients’ service/product offering, value proposition, differentiators, industry trends and market landscape
- Tracking and reporting on key metrics to measure performance or trends, analyzing against set targets or benchmarks, and optimizing future course of action
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on company initiatives, marketing objectives and cross-functional work
The ideal candidate would:
- Have at least two years of proven experience in an SEO content writing role
- Have demonstrated experience in writing with confidence about technology, targeted at B2B audiences in the US or Europe
- Be an expert at communication, writing and editing in English
- Be comfortable with consistently and reliably producing quality content at scale
- Have working knowledge of search engine optimization and broader marketing strategies
- Be at ease researching and understanding new concepts, then translating them into publicly consumable articulations of value
- Be a creative out-of-the-box thinker capable of independently ideating and proactively collaborating
- Have knowledge of business, cultural and social norms in the U.S. and Europe
- Be focused and consistent with a keen eye for detail, diligent organization and timely delivery
- Have prior experience working with fast-paced and cross-functional teams
