Content Writer

Research, write, copy edit, and optimize and see your content rank in search results! Jumpem LLC is expanding and is currently filling new positions on its SEO & Writing Team in Gainesville, FL. SEO experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Recent graduates are welcome to apply.

This position works closely with other members of the writing team to create original content, optimize content for rankings, perform keyword research, publish content, and copy edit / proofread. You will have a direct hand in delivering websites to clients across a vast array of industries. The ideal candidate will work efficiently in a casual work environment and be able to meet deadlines while working alone or in a group.

This is a full-time, on-site position. Flexible hours available.

Job Responsibilities:

This role’s responsibilities include:

• Writing unique, original and factual content for client websites in local and national markets.
• Researching diverse topics and industries to produce accurate and interesting web content and blogs.
• Reviewing, proofreading & editing content for relevancy, spelling, grammar, syntax, and structure.
• Writing optimized title tags, meta descriptions, <h> tags, alt attributes, etc.
• Writing compelling calls-to-action that drive conversions.
• Optimizing content for specific keywords and ranking goals.
• On-page and off-page linking.
• Working with Design & Development teams.
• Completing tasks on deadline.
• Completing revisions as requested.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned.

Position Requirements:

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Strong writing and editing skills are a must
• Attention to detail
• Experience writing and optimizing content for web OR experience editing or proofreading for print & web journalism OR experience in corporate communications / public relations
• Experience optimizing for search engine optimization preferred
• Proficiency in Google Docs preferred but will also accept Microsoft Office or OpenOffice
