Briefs Finance a financial technology startup that is democratizing investing research. We are on mission to help 1.3 billion people be better with money.

We're looking for a full time financial journalist with a passion for financial markets who is excited to join our team of money nerds.

You are required to have 2+ years of experience as a journalist, and you must be very familiar with the markets.

• If you are not familiar with basic financial concepts like inflation - this is not the role for you.
• Prior experience writing financial news required; published bylines preferred (e.g., Yahoo Finance, Seeking Alpha, CNBC, Bloomberg, WSJ, etc.).

Please note: this is a full time in office position. Our office is located in the heart of Detroit's business district.

Your role will require you to:

• Research topics for our daily financial newsletter (Market Briefs - please review this prior to applying)
• Write articles for our newsletter and website (https://www.briefs.co)
• Cover and analyze stocks, the economy, and crypto in a clear & engaging way
• Edit our content for accuracy, grammar, and tone
• Quickly break down earnings, market moves, and macro events for retail investors

How much will I get paid?

We strive to ensure our team members are well compensated. Your salary will depend on your experience. The salary range for this position is listed on this page.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
