Copy Writer (Financial Services/Retirement Planning)

Key Responsibilities:

Attend and actively contribute to weekly working sessions with CX, Product, Tech, and Design teams.

Write user-centric copy for digital transactions and workflows (e.g., onboarding flows, feature prompts, screen instructions).

Translate product requirements and CX testing results into compelling UX copy.

Create placeholder (“dummy”) text early in the design process that aligns with wireframe structure and later refine content as design solidifies.

Ensure all content complies with regulatory guidelines, including financial terminology (401(k), retirement planning, etc.).

Adapt writing tone to align with established brand and style guides.
-
Collaborate closely with product stakeholders in both the U.S. and Canada (especially Toronto-based teams).
Requirements:

5–7 years of UX writing experience (minimum 3–5 years acceptable with strong qualifications).

Demonstrated success in enterprise-level UX writing, ideally within financial services, banking, retirement solutions, or similar regulated sectors.

Familiarity with compliance-sensitive language and financial terminology (e.g., 401(k), promissory language, disclosures).

Strong understanding of user journey mapping, A/B testing insights, and content iteration.

Ability to write copy that complements wireframes, prototypes, and iterative design.

Experience working within Agile or cross-functional product teams.

Familiarity with UX writing for mobile banking apps, portals, or investment platforms is a plus
