Key Responsibilities
- Meet with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including routine pleadings, motions, affidavits, and interrogatories
- File pleadings and motions in accordance with court rules and judicial procedures
- Conduct legal research and analysis of statutes, regulations, case law, and legal articles
- Prepare written summaries and analyses for attorney review
- Organize, maintain, and retrieve case files, including pleadings, exhibits, discovery, depositions, and evidence
- Track and maintain accurate records of billable hours by case
- Assist with trial preparation and case management
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications (Must-Haves)
- 2+ years of hands-on civil litigation experience
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, court pleadings, and litigation procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)
- Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field
- Experience supporting contested matters from pre-trial through resolution
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $49,496.58 - $62,608.79 per year
