Job Title: Contingency Public-Sector Employment Attorney (Community College Faculty Dismissal & Discrimination)

Description:
Seeking an experienced California public-sector employment attorney to represent a community college faculty member in a complex dismissal and retaliation case involving a tenure-track termination under Education Code §§ 87666–87683 and § 87732. The matter involves FEHA/CRD disability discrimination and retaliation, whistleblower disclosures, PERB filings, and Education Code hearing rights.

The ideal attorney will be familiar with:

  • Temporary Restraining Orders (TROs) and Preliminary Injunctions to preserve salary or status quo ante pending litigation
  • California Education Code procedures governing faculty dismissal hearings and probationary/tenured rights
  • FEHA and Civil Rights Department (CRD) processes, including right-to-sue notices and retaliation claims
  • Public-sector employment law, particularly for community college districts (Gov. Code § 3540 et seq.)
  • Coordination across administrative venues (PERB, CRD, OSHA) to preserve whistleblower protections

Engagement Terms:

  • Contingency
  • Immediate availability for Education Code hearing request, temporary restraining order, preliminary injunction, and FEHA
  • Must be licensed in California and experienced in public education or faculty discipline defense
