Contract Analyst - Clinical Research

What You’ll Do

Contract Analysis & Negotiation:

  • Review contract templates, redline terms, and ensure agreement language meets client needs while maintaining compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Work closely with clients to understand critical contractual terms and requirements.
  • Facilitate contract negotiations with study sponsors/CROs and coordinate final contract execution.
  • Review protocol amendments to determine if contract amendments are required; negotiate and execute amendments when appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain a playbook of preferred client contract terms and acceptable edits to support consistency across negotiations.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients offering expert insights and strategic recommendations on clinical trial agreement terms.

Budget Analysis (as needed):

  • Develop clinical trial budgets based upon protocol, coverage analysis, contract terms and site specific requirements.
  • Conduct budget negotiations with sponsors on behalf of site.
  • Participate in client meetings and ensure high quality service delivery and client experience.
  • Partner with fellow analysts and client research sites to understand client needs and exceed expectations

What You'll Need:

  • Degree, certification or credential demonstrating formal knowledge in a legal field (e.g., paralegal certificate, JD, etc.)
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience with contract redlining and negotiations, ideally for clinical trials
  • Familiarity with clinical trial documents including study protocols, budget materials, clinical trial agreements, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work confidently with complex information
  • A track record of producing accurate, high-quality work and meeting deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and comfort collaborating with multiple stakeholders
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
