Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Contract Analyst II to join our Land Administration team. This role is responsible for analyzing, interpreting, and maintaining lease and contract data with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of land principles and terminology, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and input lease data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.

Prepare full and partial releases, assignments, and Exhibit A’s for producing properties.

Support monthly lease calendar activities and assist Land Operations as needed.

Conduct lease/unit reviews for shut-in wells and process payments (subject to review).

Track and manage contractual obligations related to lease acquisitions, trades, and divestitures.

Participate in special projects, including acquisitions and divestitures (A&D).

Monitor lease development to ensure accurate tracking of obligations and timelines.

Manage and oversee assigned areas of operation.

Interpret contracts and leases to identify and resolve technical and procedural issues.

Provide recommendations for process improvements and issue resolution.

Process partner offerings and maintain up-to-date records.

Prepare agreement exhibits, lease/acreage reports, and presentations for business units and leadership.

Act as a liaison with landowners and stakeholders, resolving inquiries and ensuring transparency in land administration processes.

Maintain involvement with local and national land associations through active participation and networking.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required (fields such as Land Management, Business, Finance, or related preferred).

5+ years of relevant land/lease analysis experience.

Strong knowledge of basic land principles, contracts, and land-related terminology.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with Quorum Land System and/or SAP is a plus.

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Experience handling confidential and proprietary information with discretion.
