Contract Attorney

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Contract Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various areas of law, including but not limited to Constitutional Law , estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, and family law. This role requires excellent negotiation skills, legal research capabilities, and the ability to draft legal documents effectively. The Contract Attorney will work on a project basis, providing legal support and expertise to our clients while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

We are embarking in expanded area of RE investments and offer opportunity for profit sharing and well as contract pay

Duties

• Provide legal advice and representation in areas such as estate planning, environmental law, landlord-tenant law, family law, and personal injury law.
• Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation.
• Draft and review various legal documents including contracts, pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in litigation matters.
• Assist with compliance issues related to tribal law and regulations.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals within the firm to ensure comprehensive client service.
• Maintain accurate records of case files and manage deadlines effectively.
• Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact clients or cases.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Proven experience in one or more areas of law such as securities law, workers' compensation law, patent law, or litigation.
• Strong research skills with proficiency in legal research databases like LexisNexis and Westlaw.
• Excellent writing skills for drafting clear and concise legal documents.
• Prior experience in a law office setting is preferred.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week
