Contract Attorney Needed – Federal Court Appeal – $100/hr

James and James Legal (www.jamesandjameslegal.com) is seeking an experienced Contract Attorney to assist with drafting and preparing a federal court appeal.

We are looking for a strong, detail-oriented attorney with proven experience in appellate writing, federal court procedures, and legal research. The ideal candidate has exceptional analytical and writing skills, can work independently, and is comfortable managing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Details:

• Location: Remote or hybrid (depending on client needs)
• Rate: $100/hour (contract-based)
• Duration: Estimated 4–6 weeks, with potential for additional projects
• Responsibilities: Research case law, draft appellate briefs, review records, and ensure accuracy and compliance with federal rules of appellate procedure.
• Requirements: J.D. degree, active bar license, and prior experience drafting federal appeals or similar motions.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $100.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
