Contract Dentist – Compensation & Pension (C&P) Exams

Job Summary
Valor Health Group is seeking licensed Dentists to perform Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations for U.S. veterans. These assessments are non-treatment, one-time appointments focused solely on evaluation and completing the appropriate DBQs. About the Role
As a contracted Dentist with Valor, you will conduct objective dental examinations to assess service-connected conditions. No cleanings, procedures, diagnostics beyond required DBQs, or ongoing patient care are performed—strictly evaluation and documentation.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform structured dental/oral evaluations for C&P exams
• Review provided medical and dental records as needed
• Complete standardized VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately
• Follow VA documentation requirements and timelines
• Maintain objective, evidence-based reporting
• Ensure a respectful, professional experience for each veteran

Requirements

• DDS or DMD from an accredited program
• Active, unrestricted state dental license
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
• Ability to remain objective and focused on evaluation only
• Prior C&P exam experience helpful but not required
• Comfortable functioning as an independent contractor (1099)
