Responsibilities
-
Administer and manage the contract lifecycle from the pre-bid stage to project execution.

Responsible for the timely preparation of legal and contractual documents, such as Request for Proposal (RFP) and other legal, contractual, or tender packages as required
-
Carry out pre-award activities, including preparing pre-award schedules, advertising tenders, participating in pre-award meetings, and evaluating and negotiating bids.

Advises on contractual matters at the project level, including the strategy for, conduct, and recording of contract pre-award negotiations.

Administration of the construction contract and timely issuance of notifications, monitoring of milestones, and payment in cooperation with the project team.

Monitoring, drafting, and reviewing all contractual correspondence.
-
Verifying that all insurance and guarantees required are in place and maintained.
-
Carry out contractual change management processes, including drafting and reviewing change orders, claims, back charges, and penalties, and the defense of incoming claims.

Preparing, drafting, and managing notices, Contract Risk Registers, Claims, and Compensation events logs.

Coordinate and liaise with the technical, finance, legal, and project teams and Clients to mitigate and/or resolve possible disputes.
-
Assist in reviewing contractual notices of claims and providing contractual advice to Engineering in their administration of the Construction Contract.

Taking the lead in drafting commercial terms for design engineering and/or construction services for approval by the Project Director and the Client.

Assist with the administration of ongoing Contracts, including monitoring Contractor and commission compliance with the Contract Documents.

Facilitate the preparation of the contract change and prepare the relevant variation orders.
-
Facilitate the contract close-out procedures to ensure that all contract terms and conditions are complied with before final payment to the Contractor.

Ensure that all contractual procedures are implemented and maintained

Assist in all contractual matters.

Assist in reviewing the Contractor’s claims according to the Conditions of the Contract and ensure the Client’s interests are protected.

Assist the Estimation and Project Control teams with respect to contractual implications of change orders.

Responsible for preparing and maintaining the Engineer’s Instructions, Variation Orders, and Claim Logs.

Familiarise himself with the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals, and Procedures .compliance with these requirements.

Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.

Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Law / Engineering, Construction, and Project Management.
-
Extensive experience in executing hospitality elements.
-
Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement and process well-regarded
-
Membership of RICS, or an equivalent body, is desirable.
-
Strong background and understanding of FIDIC forms of Contract, particularly design & build.
-
Knowledgeable in all contractual & legal matters relevant to the industry, including claim management.

Great leadership and organizational skills.

Excellent command of written and spoken English.
