Contract Estate Planning Attorney

A boutique California law practice is seeking an experienced Contract Estate Planning Attorney to support a growing trusts & estates practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead estate planning consultations with the lead attorney and clients (via Zoom or in person in Berkeley, CA).
• Review, redline, and advise on drafts of estate planning documents prepared in WealthCounsel.
• Approve final versions of documents for delivery to clients.
• Provide practical, strategic guidance on estate planning structures.
• Participate in occasional in-person client signings in Berkeley.

Qualifications

• J.D. and active license to practice law in California.
• Minimum of 5 years’ estate planning experience.
• WealthCounsel proficiency required.
• Excellent communication skills, with ability to explain complex concepts in plain language.
• Friendly, reliable, and easy to collaborate with.

Compensation

• Contract position: $100–$150 per hour, depending on experience.
• Alternative flat-fee arrangements available for specific projects.
• Primarily remote work with flexibility.
