Contract Facilitator, Trainer, Coach, and Subject Matter Expert Pool

Position Summary

BBOP Center is seeking qualified independent contractors to join its approved facilitator, trainer, coach, and subject matter expert pool. Selected contractors may support virtual and in-person workshops, cohorts, coaching labs, bootcamps, accelerator sessions, financial empowerment programs, workforce readiness programs, AI training, capital readiness services, and grant-funded or fee-for-service programs.

This opportunity is not for basic presenters. BBOP is seeking professionals who can facilitate high-quality, outcomes-driven, culturally responsive learning experiences that help participants leave with completed tools, stronger skills, and measurable progress.

Contractor Categories Sought

1. Entrepreneurship and Business Growth Facilitators
Training may include business ideation, business planning, marketing, branding, sales, customer discovery, procurement readiness, pitch preparation, business coaching, and AI for small business growth.

2. Workforce Development and Career Pathway Facilitators
Training may include career exploration, resume development, interview preparation, job search strategy, workplace communication, professional branding, AI-enabled job search, internships, apprenticeships, and career advancement.

3. Financial Empowerment and Capital Readiness Facilitators
Training may include budgeting, banking access, credit readiness, debt management, business financial literacy, bookkeeping basics, loan readiness, grant readiness, capital stacking, and use-of-funds planning.

4. AI, Technology, and Digital Inclusion Facilitators
Training may include AI literacy, responsible AI use, AI for business, AI for resumes and career planning, digital literacy, cybersecurity basics, productivity tools, CRM platforms, website basics, e-commerce, and workflow automation.

5. Bilingual English/Spanish Facilitators
BBOP is seeking professionals who can deliver business, workforce, financial, digital literacy, and AI-related training in English and Spanish with accuracy, cultural relevance, and strong facilitation skills.

6. Open Coaching Lab and Participant Support Facilitators
Contractors may support office hours, coaching labs, participant questions, application support, warm referrals, business coaching triage, resume support, financial readiness questions, and AI tool support.

7. Master Facilitators, Curriculum Designers, and Quality Leads
Senior-level contractors may help develop facilitator guides, curriculum outlines, participant workbooks, training materials, train-the-trainer sessions, evaluation tools, and reusable curriculum aligned with BBOP’s strategic pillars.

Responsibilities

Selected contractors may be asked to:

  • Facilitate virtual and/or in-person training sessions
  • Deliver training in English, Spanish, or both
  • Customize content for specific audiences
  • Support BBOP’s entrepreneurship, workforce, economic empowerment, and AI-related programs
  • Use adult learning, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and human-centered facilitation practices
  • Help participants complete tangible outputs such as business plans, resumes, pitch decks, budgets, career plans, AI prompts, marketing materials, and 90-day action plans
  • Track attendance, participation, completion, and outcomes
  • Administer pre- and post-assessments when required
  • Submit session reports, invoices, timesheets, and required documentation
  • Coordinate with BBOP staff regarding curriculum, participant needs, grant requirements, and program outcomes
  • Protect confidential participant, partner, funder, and organizational information
  • Maintain professional communication and timely responsiveness
  • Participate in onboarding, quality review, and program debrief meetings as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least three years of experience facilitating training, coaching, teaching, consulting, workforce development, entrepreneurship support, financial education, technology training, or related services
  • Demonstrated ability to engage adult learners, youth, entrepreneurs, job seekers, workers, or community-based populations
  • Strong virtual and in-person facilitation skills
  • Ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences
  • Experience serving historically underserved, low- to moderate-income, minority, women, immigrant, justice-impacted, foster youth/alumni, first-generation, or economically disinvested communities
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Comfort using Zoom, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, online learning tools, and basic reporting platforms
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to comply with BBOP’s documentation, confidentiality, invoicing, and quality standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, education, workforce development, social work, human services, public administration, finance, technology, communications, or a related field
  • Certifications in coaching, financial education, project management, HR, training, instructional design, business advising, AI, digital literacy, or entrepreneurship
  • Experience with grant-funded programs
  • Experience with WIOA, ETP, EDD, SBDC, CDFI, CRA, community college, nonprofit, government-funded, or workforce programs
  • Experience developing curriculum, slide decks, participant workbooks, facilitator guides, or learning assessments
  • Experience using AI tools for business, career, financial, training, or operational purposes
  • Experience tracking participant outcomes and program performance

Contract Type

· Independent Contractor / As-Needed / Project-Based

Compensation

· $50 - $150 per hour, based on role, specialization, bilingual capacity, credentials, curriculum responsibilities, and scope of work

Location

· Hybrid; virtual nationwide and in-person primarily at the BBOP Center in San Bernardino, California

About Time for Change Foundation

Time for Change Foundation's (TFCF) mission is to empower disenfranchised low-income individuals and families by building leadership through evidence-based programs and housing to create self-sufficiency and thriving communities. In 2002, our founder, Kim Carter took the pain of her past to create the remedy to end homelessness, family separation and incarceration. She knew that creating affordable housing and economic opportunities would give women the tools they need to reach self-sufficiency and reclaim their families.
