About Food Lab

Food Lab is a hands-on cooking school with locations in Boulder and Denver. We create hospitality-driven cooking experiences for adults, kids, team building events.

We are looking for a contract graphic designer to help refine and organize our visual identity across social media, email marketing, and brand assets as we continue growing both locations and prepare for a future website redesign.

This is not a full rebrand project. We are looking for someone who can elevate, tighten, and systemize what already exists while keeping the brand warm, modern, approachable, food-forward, and polished.

Project ScopeSocial Media Templates

Create editable branded templates for:

• Kids classes + camps
• Adult cooking classes
• Special events
• Seasonal promotions
• Recipes / Food Lab at Home
• General announcements
• Private events + team building

Deliverables should include feed posts, stories, and reel covers. Canva preferred.

Mailchimp Templates

Create branded email templates for:

• Monthly newsletters
• Class drops
• Kids promotions
• Seasonal campaigns
• Event announcements
• Recipe/blog emails
• Founder updates

Templates should be mobile-friendly, easy to update internally, and visually aligned with social templates.

Brand Guide + Visual Refinement

Help refine and organize the current Food Lab visual identity including:

• Colors
• Fonts
• Typography hierarchy
• Brand personality
• Photo direction
• Overall visual consistency

This is a refinement project, not a full rebrand.

Website Visual Direction

Provide light visual direction for the current website and future redesign including:

• Color/font refinement
• CTA consistency
• General visual cohesion

We are planning a new website in the future, so this does not need to be a full website overhaul.

Ideal Fit

We are looking for someone with strong branding/design experience in hospitality, food, lifestyle, events, or experience-based businesses.

You should be able to create organized systems — not just individual graphics — and understand how internal teams actually use templates and marketing assets.

Experience with Canva and Mailchimp required.
