Contract Immigration Attorney

We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Contract Immigration Attorney to join our legal team. This role requires a strong understanding of immigration law and the ability to navigate complex legal issues. Duties

• Provide expert legal advice and representation in immigration matters, including visa applications, asylum claims, and deportation defense.
• Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis to support case strategies.
• Draft legal documents, including petitions, motions, and briefs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in various legal contexts.
• Maintain organized case files and documentation within the law office environment.
• Communicate effectively with clients to keep them informed about their cases and provide guidance throughout the legal process.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of immigration law and related legal practices.
• Proficiency in legal research methodologies using LexisNexis.
• Excellent writing skills for drafting clear and persuasive legal documents.
• Effective negotiation skills to advocate for clients' best interests.
• Familiarity with various areas of law including family law, landlord-tenant law, personal injury law, workers' compensation law, estate planning, environmental law, securities law, patent law, tribal regulations, and litigation is highly desirable.
• Legal administrative experience that supports efficient office operations.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. This position is ideal for a motivated attorney looking to make a positive impact through their work in immigration law while gaining exposure to a variety of other legal fields.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $75.00 - $100.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
