Job Title: Contract Instructional Designer (Remote)

We’re hiring an experienced Instructional Designer to create engaging training content for a growing national organization in the health, wellness, and franchise operations space. This is a fully remote opportunity supporting education initiatives, webinars, and eLearning materials focused on technology-driven projects across a distributed franchise network.
If you love turning complex ideas into easy-to-understand learning experiences and enjoy collaborating with leaders and subject matter experts, this contract role offers a rewarding challenge in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
Design and develop digital learning content including eLearning modules, virtual training sessions, instructor-led materials, and job aids.
Conduct needs assessments to identify skill or knowledge gaps and propose learning solutions that align with organizational goals.
Apply instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM) and adult learning theory to create impactful learning programs.
Partner with operations and technology teams to build educational materials for field teams and franchise partners.
Develop storyboards, scripts, and prototypes for review and feedback.
Use authoring tools to build interactive and engaging eLearning courses.
Evaluate and update existing training to enhance learner engagement and retention.
Ensure all learning assets meet accessibility and quality standards.
Manage multiple projects while maintaining deadlines in a collaborative, remote setting.
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, or related field (Master’s preferred).
3+ years of instructional design experience in a corporate, franchise, or distributed workforce environment.
Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Rise, Captivate, etc.) and learning management systems (LMS).
Strong understanding of adult learning principles and modern design methodologies.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with video editing, multimedia design, or graphic development is a plus.
Familiarity with SCORM/xAPI standards and accessibility compliance (WCAG).
Experience creating training content for franchise systems or multi-location organizations.
Understanding of operations, customer engagement, and field training needs.
Ability to balance creative design with clear instructional outcomes.
