Contract Maintenance Worker/Groundskeeper

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Contract Maintenance Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in groundskeeping and general maintenance, ensuring that our facilities and outdoor areas are well-maintained, safe, and aesthetically pleasing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Groundskeeping:
• Mow, trim, and edge lawns and landscapes.
• Plant, water, and maintain flowers, shrubs, and trees.
• Remove weeds, debris, and litter from grounds.
• Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides as needed.
• Maintain and repair irrigation systems.
• General Maintenance:
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of buildings and facilities.
• Repair and maintain plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Conduct minor carpentry and painting tasks.
• Ensure all maintenance equipment is in good working condition.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies promptly.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in groundskeeping and general maintenance.
• Knowledge of landscaping techniques and equipment.
• Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to operate maintenance tools and machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
