The Contract Manager will manage the contract administration and the technical aspects of Preparing and the negotiation of the company's RFP, RFQ’s and contracts including contracts with Clients and contracts related to projects, operations, supporting services etc.

Will be in charge of the pre- and post-contract management activities in addition to coordination with the group legal department.


Pre-construction Phase Responsibilities:

  • Manage pre-contract activities internally and externally, coordinating with the legal and procurement teams.
  • Review, prepare, and validate RFPs, tender documents, contracts, and contract management plans.
  • Develop and implement contract management procedures aligned with project value and company standards.
  • Support tender management by providing contractual advice, handling clarifications, attending negotiation meetings, and mitigating contractual risks.
  • Coordinate contract execution with procurement to ensure favorable terms.


Construction Phase Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and execute contract documents upon award, ensuring compliance and favorable terms.
  • Manage all contract correspondence, notices, letters, bonds, insurances, and certificates with the Project Manager and legal team.
  • Oversee change control, variations, claims, and disputes, assessing contractual implications.
  • Support Project Managers in identifying and mitigating contractual risks.
  • Provide ongoing contractual and commercial guidance, maintaining company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare monthly reports on contractual performance, trends, risks, and deviations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications & Skills required

  • Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering; RICS or AACE certification; law degree preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience, including 7 years as Contract Manager; experience with PMC, developers, and large, complex UAE projects preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of FIDIC and UAE contract forms, with experience in pre- and post-contract management, drafting, change management, disputes, and alternative dispute resolution.
  • Skilled in contract negotiation, implementing new contract suites, and managing high-value projects.
  • Proficient in MS Office; strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills in English.
  • Experience with specialist Quantity Surveying.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team; capable of coaching and building small teams.
  • Professional, disciplined, ambitious, customer-focused, flexible, and able to perform under pressure.
