Responsibilities:
COMPLETING CONTRACTS:
- Updating current policies and procedures related to the process.
- Reviews contract to understand CWHS requirements and capabilities. Determines financial impact and financial strategy for the agreement.
- Analyzes contract special provisions, terms, and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, and CWHS corporate policies Determines if a Business Associate Agreement will be required.
- Suggests changes to the contract to mitigate clauses negative to CWHS.
- If the contract involves a physician, reviews fair market value calculations.
- Conducts a review of the agreement and/or BAA with internal or external legal counsel and the Chief Compliance Officer for the identification of additional issues and changes to the contract.
CONTRACT PERFORMANCE AND RENEWAL:
- Tracks all contracts and documents and all correspondence with vendors.
- Maintains contractual compliance oversight program to ensure vendor compliance with contracts and provides a biannual summary report for contracts to Corporate Compliance.
- Prepares, organizes, and maintains contract records and files and documents contract performance and compliance.
- With Chief Compliance Officer, determines and executes appropriate action if contracting party is not compliant with the terms.
- If both parties desire to continue the relationship, negotiates an agreement to continue services and execute the agreement.
REQUESTS FOR PROPOSAL FOR CAPITAL PURCHASES AND NEW OR EXISTING SUPPLY OR SERVICE NEEDS:
- Determines which vendors will be invited to bid on the RFP.
- Analyzes the bids to determine which vendor best meets the established needs. Arranges demonstrations and presentations as deemed necessary by the end users.
- Works with the internal customers/end users to determine which bid best meets CWHS needs.
- Solicits and/or drafts a contract for the services with the winning bidder.
- Executes the contract process with vendor.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus in business or supply chain preferred with at least four (4) years in sourcing, procurement, contracting and/or category management within the health care industry with a broad transaction background in drafting and negotiating agreements across multiple areas of business preferred. Master’s degree preferred
Compensation:
- $35.00 - $40.25 per hour, depending on education and experience.
