Contract Specialist

Overview

The Contract Specialist will support regional legal and commercial operations by ensuring effective contract governance, commercial risk management, and compliance across complex projects. The role works closely with Sales, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Quantity Surveying teams , supporting both pre-sales and post-sales activities within a dynamic, high-visibility

environment.


Duration - 6 months

Package - AED 18000/month


Key Responsibilities


Contract & Commercial Management

  • Implement and manage contract procedures in line with company policies and delegated authorities
  • Develop, maintain, and update standard customer and subcontractor contract templates
  • Advise business teams on contractual obligations, risk exposure, and mitigation strategies
  • Support post-sales commercial matters including payment applications, variations, certifications, and claims
  • Deliver hands-on guidance and training on contracting practices to Sales and Operations teams

Pre-Sales & Risk Review

  • Review, draft, negotiate, and redline standard and non-standard contracts
  • Identify legal, contractual, and commercial risks and recommend mitigation actions
  • Support outcome-based and performance-driven contracting models
  • Prepare bid-related contractual documentation, including cover letters and terms & conditions
  • Act as the central point of contact between Legal, Sales, Operations, Finance, and Procurement
  • Drive compliance with bid review, liability, indemnity, credit, and approval frameworks


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law
  • 6–9 years of relevant experience,
  • Strong exposure to FIDIC, NEC , and bespoke contracts
  • Sound understanding of warranties, bank guarantees, insurance, and letters of credit
  • Experience supporting dispute resolution processes (litigation, arbitration, mediation)
  • Industry exposure to building systems, engineering, manufacturing, or services preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office; experience with CLM and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) is an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
