SHOPIFY POS EXPERT
(Operations and Training; No Development)
We are seeking an experienced Shopify POS Expert to support in‑store setup, workflow validation, hardware testing, and staff readiness for a retail store moving to Shopify. This role requires hands‑on, in‑store collaboration to ensure our POS environment is fully functional, efficient, and aligned with real retail operations.
POS SetUp/Process Workflows:
- Assist with POS Setup, Validation & Troubleshooting
- Validate full Shopify POS setup with the store manager
- Walk through backup payment workflows
- Test and confirm offline mode functionality
- Configure and perform hardware troubleshooting
- Validate receipt printer, barcode scanner, and card reader performance
- Conduct inventory adjustment workflows
- Walk through refund and exchange scenarios end‑to‑end
- Walk‑through of receiving store merchandise, including proper intake, tagging, and syncing to Shopify inventory
Facilitated Training:
- Ability to provide clear documentation, quick‑reference guides, or SOPs
- Ability to run staff training sessions (group and 1:1) of process workflows needed to perform job functions
Required Skill Set:
- Proven experience with Shopify POS (not just online store development)
- Familiarity with Shopify POS Pro features and configuration
- Strong understanding of retail operations, preferably footwear/apparel
- Strong understanding of retail workflows and omnichannel operations
- Comfort with hardware setup, troubleshooting, and in‑store testing
- Clear communication and ability to collaborate with store leadership
Pay: $25.67 - $37.50 per hour
Work Location: In person
