CORE is a woman- and minority-led local group practice dedicated to supporting both clients and clinicians. Our licensed clinicians provide individual, group, couples, and family counseling, as well as assessments and programs addressing mental health, substance use, domestic violence, and anger management.
Position Overview
We are seeking licensed therapists to join our team as Contract Therapists. This part-time independent contractor role offers flexibility, with a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week and opportunities for additional hours based on availability.
- 15 sessions per week minimum
- At least 90% of sessions must be conducted in-person at our Chalmette office
- Remote sessions may make up no more than 10% of your total caseload
- Evening availability preferred (Monday through Friday, 2-7 pm)

Contract Therapist Responsibilities
This role offers the autonomy of running your own private practice while benefiting from the support and resources of an established group setting.
- Conduct therapy sessions for individuals, couples, and families
- Complete clinical progress notes within 48 hours of each appointment
- Process client payments through CORE platforms
- Maintain a full caseload and ensure high client retention
- Follow up with assigned clients and schedule ongoing appointments after the initial intake
- Update availability regularly to maximize session slots
- Communicate with CORE staff daily; respond to messages same day
- Check emails and respond promptly
- Collaborate with referral sources, program partners, and other clinicians
- Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
- Participate in periodic supervision or clinical meetings as required
- Stay current on best practices, assessment tools, and continuing education requirements
- Compliance with state and federal regulations, including mandated reporting and ethical codes
- Be self-motivated, organized, and accountable for your own schedule and caseload
- Update and provide renewals of professional license, insurance, CAQH profiles, NPI, Psychology Today profile, and all professional platforms
- Accurately invoice CORE every 2 weeks
Qualifications
- FULL Louisiana licenses accepted: LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LAC (not provisional)
- Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or related field
- Experience with children, adolescents, adults, couples, or families
- Independent, organized, and self-motivated
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of assessment tools, protocols, and report-writing
- Familiarity with state/federal laws and ethical codes (confidentiality, duty to warn, mandated reporting, etc.)
- Collaborative mindset with open communication with the director
Pay
- Licensed Therapists (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LAC): $35/1-hour session
