Contract WordPress Developer

About Us:
We are a growing company looking for a highly skilled WordPress Developer to join us on a contract basis. You’ll work with our team to ensure our digital presence remains functional, secure, and scalable. This is a 6-month contract with the potential for extension based on performance and project needs.

Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will assist with the following areas:

Website Development

• Develop and implement custom website code based on specific project requirements
• Track, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs and technical issues

Website Maintenance

• Perform regular backups of the website
• Identify and resolve security vulnerabilities
• Manage plugin and theme updates to maintain site stability

Website Design Support

• Create and update new pages based on business needs
• Support visual design and layout of new or existing content

Cloud Services Support

• Review and provide recommendations on cloud infrastructure
• Address and resolve security issues
• Optimize cloud costs
• Ensure reliable backup of cloud-based resources

Requirements:

• 3+ years of professional WordPress development experience
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL
• Experience with cloud platforms
• Understanding of website security best practices
• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with team members

Nice to Have:

• Experience with website performance optimization
• Familiarity with SEO best practices
• Background in UI/UX design

Contract Details:

• Duration: 6 months, with the possibility of extension
• Remote work flexibility
• Flexible hours, must be available for regular check-ins with the team

Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
