Job Summary
SameDayPsych is a national telehealth psychiatric clinic that specializes in behavioral health. We currently manage over 200 encounters a day & are rapidly growing. We Contracted Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Nurse Practitioner (NP). In this pivotal role, you will deliver high-quality psychiatric care to diverse patient populations through telehealth services, ensuring accessible and compassionate mental health support across the country. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive assessments, medication management, and patient education, all while maintaining adherence to best practices and regulatory standards. Duties

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments via telehealth platforms, utilizing your expertise in behavioral health and clinical evaluation techniques.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate psychopharmacology, therapy referrals, and lifestyle modifications tailored to each patient's needs.
• Manage medication regimens with precision, including prescribing and monitoring psychiatric medications while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Provide ongoing patient follow-up care, adjusting treatment strategies based on clinical progress and patient feedback.
• Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Athenahealth, ensuring HIPAA compliance and detailed medical records.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients with complex mental health conditions or comorbidities like substance use or chronic illnesses.
• Engage in continuous professional development by staying current with advancements in telehealth practices, psychopharmacology, and behavioral health treatments.

Experience

• Valid state licensure as a PMHNP or NP with prescriptive authority for psychiatric medications.
• Proven experience in behavioral health settings, including outpatient clinics, hospitals, or telehealth platforms.
• Familiarity with EHR Charm Health
• Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology principles, medication management protocols, and mental health assessment tools.
• Experience working with diverse populations including children, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring specialized care such as dementia or memory care.
• Prior exposure to telehealth technology platforms and virtual patient engagement strategies.
• Additional skills in managing acute pain, crisis triage, case management, and familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-10) are highly desirable. Pay: $125.00 - $200.00 per hour
