Contracting & Analytics Analyst I

Analyst I is responsible for the collection of appropriate prescription drug utilization data, product pricing, policy material, and completing the analysis necessary for the calculation of Medicaid Supplemental Rebates.


Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain several databases of Medicaid information by regularly and accurately entering data such as drug utilization, drug pricing, contacts, enrollment etc.
  • Research appropriate material as assigned by Senior Management to assist pharmaceutical manufacturers in navigating the Medicaid marketplace.
  • Monitor supplemental rebate solicitations from 51 Medicaid programs.
  • Monitor changes in Medicaid policies and regulations.
  • Proactively conduct independent research to develop expertise, discover innovative methods, and identify valuable information to enhance our processes and outcomes.

Occasional Duties & Responsibilities

  • Travel as needed for company related events.
  • Professional development as needed.


Physical & Environmental Requirements

  • Ability to remain seated for extended periods while performing desk-based tasks.
  • Ability to use a computer and related office equipment (keyboard, mouse, phone, etc.) for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds for occasional office tasks (e.g., moving files, setting up equipment, etc.).
  • Ability to occasionally walk, bend, or stoop to access files or office equipment.
  • Good vision and manual dexterity to handle paperwork, documents, and office technology.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, via phone, and in writing with colleagues and clients.

Educational and/or Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics.
  • Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Mac OS.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to professionally communicate analysis results to supervisor and senior management.

Preferred Educational and/or Experience Requirements

  • Knowledge and understanding of Medicaid Preferred Drug Lists
  • Knowledge and understanding of Medicaid rebates
  • Basic knowledge of Medicaid terminology
