- Reviewing contracting and appointment paperwork for completeness;

Notifying agents and/or recruiters of missing paperwork;

Ordering and reviewing background reports;
-
Verifying compliance with federal and state regulations and company guidelines;
-
Building and maintaining records and contracts;
-
Reviewing hierarchy to ensure it is set up correctly to pay commissions correctly;
-
Processing appointments according to procedures of 50 jurisdictions; and
-
Working with other departments on correct coding to policy applications.

Notifying agents and/or recruiters of pending requirements;
-
Communicating with producers to obtain additional information of a sensitive nature (bankruptcy documents, criminal information, etc.);
-
Completing and mailing contracts;
-
Responding to inquiries and requests on status and contracting procedures and guidelines;
-
Explaining regulatory changes to producers and internal customers; and
-
Researching and resolving problems.
5% Performs other functions, which includes:

Assisting with and participating in team functions and events for the agent and new business administration department;

Assisting in special projects and other related duties as requested; and
-
Serving as a member of various committees and implementation teams.

Two to five years of office experience.

Ability to type 40 words per minute.

Professional oral and written communication skills.

Consistent and reliable attendance is an essential function to this position.

Associate degree, trade school certification or equivalent required.
