Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

We are seeking a Contractor Account Manager to drive sales growth, expand market share, and strengthen customer relationships across the Denver Metro and surrounding Colorado territory. This is a high‑impact role responsible for representing Crum’s full product and solutions portfolio—working directly with utilities, contractors, industrial customers, OEMs, and key channel partners.

Position: Contractor Account Manager

The Contractor Account Manager is responsible for owning and cultivating customer relationships, driving profitable sales growth, and expanding market share within the assigned Colorado territory. This individual will manage the full sales cycle from planning and forecasting to closing opportunities and maintaining long‑term customer partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Territory Management

  • Develop and execute territory sales plans, including visit schedules, key account strategies, and forecast targets.
  • Build robust sales pipelines through proactive prospecting and lead‑generation efforts.
  • Create annual budgets, sales forecasts, and strategic account plans.

Customer Engagement

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, product support, and order‑related questions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders across utilities, contractors, OEMs, distributors, and consultants.
  • Conduct regular sales calls, presentations, and product demonstrations.
  • Represent Crum Electric Supply at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.

Sales Execution & Collaboration

  • Leverage consultative selling techniques to identify customer needs and recommend Crum’s product and service solutions.
  • Close high‑value opportunities, working with internal leadership when needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (purchasing, project specialists, marketing, inside sales) to ensure seamless customer experience.
  • Support channel partners to maximize territory coverage and sales effectiveness.

Operational & Technical Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate CRM records (White Cup or other systems).
  • Provide regular pipeline reports, forecasts, and performance updates.
  • Stay knowledgeable on new products, emerging technologies, and industry trends.
  • Participate in product training, customer site visits, and occasional factory tours.

Other Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and safety guidelines.
  • Travel as needed throughout the territory (estimated up to 50–70%).

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of sales experience within the electrical distribution, utility, industrial, or related sectors.
  • Strong understanding of electrical distribution products, MV/LV systems, or industrial solutions.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales goals and growing accounts.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Strong financial and analytical capabilities for forecasting, reporting, and proposal development.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles and negotiating high‑value deals.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems; White Cup experience a plus.
  • Strong organizational and project‑management capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with electrical distribution products, manufacturers, and market trends.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and distribution software (CSD, Oracle, Eclipse, etc.).
  • Experience working with contractors, utilities, industrial plants, or OEMs.
