Join Our Team as a Part-Time Contracts & Procurement Manager
Alliant is seeking a skilled Contracts & Procurement Manager to join our team on a part-time basis. Primary Objectives and Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute company contracts and purchase orders ranging from employment contracts to supplier negotiations.
- Represent Alliant as the primary point of contract (POC) for all matters related to contracts, purchase orders, and associated procurement related matters.
- Ensure the credibility of Alliant’s contracting and procurement department providing timely and accurate information and analysis relative to related information both internally and externally.
- Provide interface between Alliant and our business counterparts, to ensure the best interest of the company at all times and each contractual relationship.
- Serve as the interpretive authority on internal and Company-wide contractual matters including all relevant policies and procedures.
- Manage all aspects of client purchasing instruments, including contracts and purchase orders, and including receipt, review, negotiation, approval, administration, and closeout of those instruments.
- Oversee and manage all contracts signed on behalf of Alliant ensuring all contractual obligations are executed and enforced as agreed in all contract type relations.
- Monitor the performance of each contract. If a contract involves supplies, ensure delivery is on time.
- Oversee the accuracy of deliveries, whether it is company equipment, shop supplies, materials, or services.
- Develop solicitations/quotes from potential suppliers for the purchase of goods and services, negotiate prices, prepare acquisition instruments, and assure compliance with acquisition instruments for the procurement of goods and services.
- Manage the contract database, which is used to track and analyze all current and prior contracts and purchase orders.
- Ensure the accuracy of all contracts and procurement related information in Alliant’s automates systems is accurate and current at all times.
- Maintain the monthly contract backlog report and ensure its timely distribution to senior management and staff.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives and key staff members to identify their needs and seek full range of procurement-related solutions.
- Provide management with advice on the implications of procurement and contracting activities.
- Provide recommendations to enhance the contracting and procurement performance of the Company’s internal operations
- Provide professional services to both internal resources and third parties with whom we engage.
- Develop standard contracts using appropriate language and practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills Required:
- Ability to develop and adhere to professional principles.

Cross Trained:
- PC proficiency is essential (Windows environment) and strong working knowledge of Deltek Costpoint and MS Excel is preferred.

Education Required:
- 6-10 years of contract experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management/Administration, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
Physical Requirements: Physical Requirements:
Position requires sitting, use of hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear over two-thirds of the time. It also requires reaching with hands, arms and lifting up to 10 pounds under one-third of the time, and close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less). Physical demands documentation check off list is attached. Work may require occasional travel, both local and overnight.
