Contracts Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and manage all post-contract activities in accordance with project agreements and contractual terms (FIDIC preferred).
• Prepare, submit, and follow up on contractual claims including Extension of Time (EOT), cost claims, and delay analysis with proper documentation.
• Review, evaluate, and finalize variation orders (VOs), including quantity verification, pricing, and negotiation with consultants/clients.
• Prepare monthly payment applications and ensure alignment with the approved BOQ, drawings, and site progress.
• Maintain and manage contractual correspondence with consultants, clients, and subcontractors to protect the company’s contractual position.
• Coordinate with the Planning Department to analyze project delays and link them to contractual events and entitlement.
• Identify contractual risks and provide early warnings and recommendations to project management.
• Draft, review, and administer subcontract agreements, ensuring clear scope definition and compliance with main contract requirements.
• Support commercial teams in evaluating subcontractor claims, variations, and payment certificates.
• Participate in dispute resolution processes, negotiations, and preparation of supporting documentation.
• Assist in final account preparation and project close-out, ensuring timely submission of all contractual deliverables.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 5+ years experience in contract administration within UAE construction projects
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC and post-contract management.
• Experience with claims, variations, and EOT submissions.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and report-writing skills.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and ERP systems.
