Key Responsibilities
1. Contract Preparation & Review
- Prepare, review, and finalize contract documents, agreements, and tenders.
- Evaluate project specifications, drawings, and bills of quantities to ensure contractual accuracy.
- Identify contractual risks and propose mitigation measures.
2. Procurement & Tendering
- Assist in preparing tender documents, RFQs, RFPs, and bid evaluations.
- Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal departments for quotations and technical inputs.
- Analyze commercial and technical proposals and recommend suitable vendors/subcontractors.
3. Contract Administration
- Monitor contract performance, compliance, and deliverables.
- Track variations, change orders, claims, and extension of time (EOT) requests.
- Maintain contract documentation and ensure proper filing and record-keeping.
4. Cost Control & Budget Support
- Support quantity surveying and cost control teams in preparing cost breakdowns.
- Review invoices, progress payments, and subcontractor bills.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and tracking contract expenditures.
5. Communication & Coordination
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients regarding contract issues.
- Participate in meetings with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Provide contractual advice to project teams and management.
6. Legal & Compliance
- Ensure contracts comply with local laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Collaborate with legal teams for drafting and final contract approval.
- Address contractual disputes and recommend resolutions.
