Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and administer construction contracts (Item Rate, EPC, Lump Sum, Turnkey).
- Ensure compliance with GCC, SCC, BOQs, specifications, and drawings.
- Manage RA bills, final bills, extra items, deviations, and variations.
- Handle Extension of Time (EOT), escalation, LD, and contractual claims.
- Coordinate with project, QS, finance, legal, and consultants on contractual matters.
- Monitor bank guarantees, retention money, advances, and insurance policies.
- Ensure statutory compliance (Indian Contract Act, labour laws, GST on works contracts).
- Maintain contract documentation, correspondence, and MIS reports.
- Support dispute resolution, arbitration, and audits.
Key Skills
- Strong knowledge of Indian construction contracts (CPWD/PWD/Private).
- Expertise in rate analysis (DSR/SSR), claims, and variation management.
- Negotiation, documentation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
- Certification in Contracts / Construction Law (preferred).
Experience
- 8–15 years of experience in construction contract & commercial management.
