Contractual ELA/Math Tutor/Teacher-Title I Schools

WCPS Title I Schools

SALARY

$38.00/hour contractual with no benefits Position contingent upon continued grant funding.

HOURS

Up to 29 hours per week. (As determined by funding available.)

Available during normal school day and/or afterschool

QUALIFICATIONS

Must hold a Bachelor's Degree-preference given to a degree in elementary education
Experience working with students in a classroom setting preferred.
Knowledge of online communication platforms and learning programs
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, teachers, and associates.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Self-starter with excellent organizational skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Report to the Title I Office and/or building administration.
Have a proven track record in providing reading and/or math intervention.
Conduct parent involvement activities /events that support family engagement in student learning.
Develop and promote a caring and respectful relationship with and among all students.
Maintain a structured learning environment
Work with the staff, student(s)and parent(s) to develop effective intervention strategies.
Maintain and provide data necessary to evaluate program effectiveness.
Attend professional development activities as appropriate.
Maintain supplemental educational supplies provided by Title I Office.
Complete administrative tasks and other assignments required by the Title I Office in a timely manner.
Perform other duties as assigned.
