No prior union fund experience is required — we will provide the training. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a genuine aptitude for accounting are what matter most.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain organized, audit-ready records of all contribution activity
  • Assist with delinquency tracking and support collection follow-up efforts as needed
  • Support the preparation of data for annual audits and regulatory filings
  • Communicate professionally with employers, trustees, and union contacts regarding contribution matters
  • Perform general accounting support duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (or equivalent coursework)
  • 0–2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or fund administration experience
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and reconciliation processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, filtering, and data organization
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage recurring monthly deadlines
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a small, close-knit office environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
  • Experience in a TPA, financial services, payroll, or benefits administration environment
  • Exposure to ERISA, multiemployer funds, or union benefit administration (helpful but not required)
  • Experience working with employer remittance reports or payroll data
