Control Desk / Bar Attendant

Job Overview

The Control Desk / Bar Attendant is the face of Hard Rock Lanes and plays a key leadership role in daily operations. This position oversees guest flow, lane assignments, and bar service while ensuring a safe, welcoming, and organized environment.

This role requires strong customer service skills, sound judgment, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.

This is a responsibility-driven role with operational oversight.

Responsibilities:

Guest Services & Operations

• Greet guests and assign bowling lanes
• Manage lane timing and party schedules
• Operate POS system and process payments
• Oversee arcade games and putt putt golf
• Assist with minor lane or machine troubleshooting
• Support and guide team members during shifts
• Maintain front-of-house cleanliness and organization

Bartending & Alcohol Service

• Serve beer in accordance with Kansas laws
• Check IDs and verify legal age
• Monitor guests for signs of intoxication
• Refuse service when legally necessary
• Maintain clean and organized bar area
• Restock beer and bar supplies
• Ensure responsible alcohol service at all times

Schedule

Part-time. Hours vary based on staffing needs.
Typical operating hours:

• Monday–Thursday: 6PM–10PM
• Friday: 6PM–1AM
• Saturday: 1PM–1AM
• Sunday: 2PM–10PM

Evening and weekend availability is required.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years or older
• Must be eligible to obtain Kansas Cereal Malt Beverage (CMB) server certification
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
• Must pass background check and drug screening
• Strong communication and decision-making skills
• Dependable and capable of handling responsibility

Pay: $14.50 - $16.50 per hour
