The technician position requires the wiring of electronic components, electrical panels, and devices. Use of small hand tools, ability to read a tape measure. Reports to subassembly floor supervisor.
Responsibilities:

Wiring electrical control panels efficiently in a high-volume production setting

Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and B.O.M./drawings, engineering prints/specifications, and/or verbal/written instructions

Responsible for laying out, machining, populating, and wiring of electrical control enclosures

Assembly of mechanical, and/or pneumatic components as required.

Use common hand tools, drills, taps, saws, knockout punches, and multi-meter.

Verify work performed by checking continuity or simulated functional test to determine proper component circuitry that meets operational requirements

May require the operation of a forklift, if so training will be provided
Requirements:
-
Must have experience using the skills mentioned above
-
Experience in wiring electrical control panels, UL 508A experience is a plus.

Read and interpret schematics and electrical specifications as required.

Working knowledge of AC & DC control circuits, including single and three-phase motor control, PLC terminology/function, and basic knowledge of measuring instruments and meters.

The ability to work with and understand electromechanical functionality

Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations.

Good interpersonal skills and ability to successfully handle a multi-tasked role in an organized fashion.

Strong computer skills. Capable of working with all Microsoft Office applications

Strong time management and organization skills. Must be able to work independently and successfully complete multiple assignments in a deadline-driven environment.
