Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Electrical Site Engineer to lead the execution of Medium Voltage (MV) electrical works at the project site. The role includes reviewing and executing design drawings, managing subcontractors, ensuring planning targets are met, resolving technical issues, and demonstrating strong leadership skills to guide teams and ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and implement electrical design drawings and ensure alignment with site conditions and project specifications.
- Supervise all MV electrical installation activities, including switchgear, transformers, RMUs, cable laying, terminations, and earthing systems.
- Oversee installation and integration of RTUs and RMUs.
- Lead and manage subcontractors, ensuring work quality, safety compliance, and adherence to project timelines.
- Ensure planning targets and milestones are achieved through effective coordination and resource management.
- Act as a problem solver, addressing technical and operational issues promptly to avoid delays.
- Coordinate with customers, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution and timely resolution of issues.
- Ensure strict compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards and conduct regular safety checks.
- Monitor and enforce quality control procedures and ensure all works meet technical and regulatory standards.
- Prepare and submit daily and weekly progress reports, including site updates, risks, and mitigation actions.
- Support and oversee Testing & Commissioning (T&C) of MV systems, including protection relay testing and communication checks.
- Maintain accurate site documentation, including inspection logs, test reports, and RLM (Red Line Mark).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- 5–7 years of experience in MV electrical site execution, preferably in infrastructure or utility projects.
- Strong knowledge of MV systems (11kV/33kV), protection System, and installation standards.
- Hands-on experience with RTU, RMU and SCADA integration.
- Familiarity with IEC standards and local electrical codes.
- Fluent in English and Pakistani languages (e.g., Urdu; regional languages are a plus).
- Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with substation automation and remote monitoring systems.
- Knowledge of QA/QC procedures and electrical safety standards.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and site reporting tools.
