About the Role:
We are looking for a Controller who will not only lead our financial management and reporting functions but will also play a hands-on role in operational processes. This dual focus means you'll ensure our financial systems are robust and accurate, while also helping to streamline and improve operational workflows. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, analytical, and hands-on leader who can maintain rigorous financial controls while optimizing our supply chain, inventory, and fulfillment processes.

Oversee all core financial operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets, month-end/year-end close, and preparation of accurate GAAP-compliant financial statements.

Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, including variance reporting and KPI tracking (COGS, margins, expenses, cash flow), providing insights and recommendations to ownership.
Maintain financial integrity by managing cash flow, banking relationships, internal controls, accounting policies, and overall regulatory compliance. -
Coordinate external tax filings and ensure financial processes remain scalable as the business grows.

Lead end-to-end supply chain execution from purchase orders to production, international logistics, and final delivery of finished goods.

Manage and negotiate relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, logistics partners, and 3PL providers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.

Oversee inventory strategy and accuracy, including forecasting, stock optimization, physical counts, and reconciliation.

Identify and implement operational improvements and technology enhancements (ERP, inventory systems, automation) to support efficiency and scalability.

Monitor and improve key operational performance metrics, including fulfillment timelines, order accuracy, supplier performance, and overall workflow efficiency.

Streamline processes across finance and operations to enhance customer experience and support long-term growth.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

A CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) designation is highly desirable.

Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in finance/accounting, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.

Proven experience in operations management within a product-based business, preferably in consumer goods, manufacturing, or e-commerce (direct-to-consumer and retail).

Specific experience with COGS analysis and inventory accounting

Expert-level proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Strong knowledge of supply chain fundamentals, import/export procedures, and 3PL management.

Comfort working independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
