Controller

EVI Industries, a publicly traded company, is seeking a Controller to support financial operations across multiple business units in a fast-paced and growing environment.

This role is ideal for a hands-on finance professional who enjoys partnering with leadership, improving processes, and driving operational performance through accurate financial reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activity
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial analysis
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and operational performance reports
• Monitor key financial metrics including revenue, margins, labor, expenses, inventory, and cash flow
• Perform variance analysis and provide actionable financial insights to leadership
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP
• Improve accounting processes and reporting workflows to increase efficiency and accuracy
• Support audit preparation, 1099 processing, and vendor/payment management
• Partner closely with finance and operational leadership teams across the organization

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5–8+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
• Experience in a Controller, Accounting Manager, or Senior Accountant-level role
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with month-end close, cash flow management, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
• Experience in a multi-location or operational environment strongly preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
