Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center is a 182-bed, private psychiatric hospital located in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center helps individuals suffering from mental health and substance abuse disorders gain the skills they need to walk on the path to recovery. We use specialized treatments and supportive services to provide high-quality inpatient and outpatient programs with evidence-based therapies that meet the individual needs of our patients. We are currently hiring for a full-time Controller to join our team!

Controller

Under the direction and supervision of the CFO, the Controller - has overall responsibility of general accounting functions, supervising Accounts Payable, and Payroll Functions.

Controller Duties:

• Responsible for Month end close binder. Prepares journal entries as assigned by the CFO.
• Prepares reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts.
• Verifies and balances daily cash receipts, ensuring errors are corrected timely.
• Prepares month FAS submission.
• Prepares annual tax package and ensures compliance with 1099 reporting.
• Assists CFO with annual budget process.
• Participates in daily operations and management meetings.
• Provides information in response to ad hoc corporate accounting requests

Controller Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's or advance degree in Accounting
• 5 years of accounting experience, minimum
• Excellent communication skills
• Basic clerical skills and ability to problem solve
