Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Controller to lead the financial operations of Monrovia Memorial Hospital, a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital. Responsibilities

• Manage the full spectrum of accounting activities including general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely processing and adherence to organizational policies.
• Prepare and review regulatory reports, financial statements, and management reports that accurately reflect the hospital’s financial position.
• Conduct cash management activities, including forecasting cash flow needs and optimizing liquidity to support operational requirements.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries, account analysis, and technical accounting adjustments.
• Collaborate with external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations to facilitate smooth audit processes.
• Utilize accounting software platforms to streamline financial operations and improve reporting efficiency.
• Support budgeting processes by analyzing variances, forecasting future financial performance, and providing insights for strategic planning.
• Maintain rigorous internal controls to safeguard hospital assets and ensure compliance with governmental regulations specific to non-profit healthcare organizations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in governmental accounting, non-profit accounting, or healthcare finance environments is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, compliance standards, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Demonstrated expertise in technical accounting concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, account reconciliation, debits & credits, and general ledger management.
• Proficiency with accounting software and experience with financial management tools are essential.
• Excellent financial analysis skills coupled with the ability to prepare clear and comprehensive financial reports.
• Experience managing accounts payable/receivable functions along with payroll processing within a hospital setting.
• Ability to perform balance sheet reconciliation accurately while maintaining attention to detail under tight deadlines.
• Strong understanding of cash management strategies, forecasting techniques, and budget development processes.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
