Controller / Senior Accountant – Maccabi Art – In-person role
Maccabi Art is seeking a skilled Controller / Senior Accountant to manage multi-entity, multi-currency accounting operations in the U.S., Peru, Mexico, and Brazil. This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong technical accounting skills and international experience. Proficiency in English, Spanish, and Portuguese is helpful. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with local regulations, and smooth accounting operations across our global business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting for entities in multiple countries.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with both local and global standards (U.S. GAAP and IFRS standards).
- Oversee month- and year-end closings, consolidations, and intercompany transactions.
- Coordinate with local and international accountants, auditors, and tax advisors to monitor international taxes, implement internal controls.
- Implement and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Develop and manage budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning for local and international markets.
- Provide financial insights into financial planning and management decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CMA or international equivalent preferred).
- 5+ years of accounting experience.
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS for use in domestic and international operations.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks helpful
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to work with formulas and large datasets.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills for managing global operations and diverse teams.
Preferred Skills
- International tax compliance and transfer pricing experience is useful.
- Familiarity with import/export accounting.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills
