Controls Engineer II

Overall Activities: We currently have an opening for a Controls Engineer in our Malta, NY office. This position will involve the design, programming and configuration of control systems including PLC, HMI, SCADA and other components to ensure proper system operation, with a focus on data acquisition and visualization.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 3+ years of control systems integration experience.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with PLC ladder logic, HMI and SCADA development packages, Rockwell PLCs, FTV ME/SE, iFix and Ignition preferred
• Ability to read and interpret P&ID and electrical controls drawings.
• Experience in conducting Factory Acceptance Testing and documentation.
• Proficiency with Windows-based operating systems, word processing and spreadsheets.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to document solutions and work independently.
• Flexibility, the ability to juggle multiple tasks, and work in variable conditions.
• Interested in continually learning and developing new skills.

Training or Experience with the following is a plus:

• Knowledge of computer networking and configuration
• Experience with the installation of control panels and instrumentation
• Experience with relational database management systems, such as MS SQL
• Experience with reporting and data visualization platforms, such as SSRS, Ignition, and Power BI
• GAMP® validation and commissioning experience
