Duties

• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to process sales accurately and quickly
• Greet customers warmly, providing exceptional service and addressing inquiries with professionalism
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed
• Assist customers with product demos and upselling to enhance their shopping experience
• Restock shelves, merchandise displays, and ensure products are well-organized for easy access
• Conduct regular stock checks and assist with inventory management to maintain store appearance and product availability
• Maintain excellent phone etiquette when taking orders or answering customer questions over the phone

Qualifications

• Previous cashier or retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or convenience stores
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in bilingual environments (if applicable)
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and balancing registers accurately
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is a plus
• Supervising experience is advantageous for those interested in leadership opportunities
• Ability to perform merchandising tasks, stocking, and product demos confidently
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude
