Duties

• Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with precision, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
• Assist with menu planning by suggesting new recipes and seasonal specials that excite diners
• Maintain high standards of food handling, safety, and sanitation throughout all kitchen activities
• Support food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, portioning, and plating to streamline service times
• Collaborate with dietary department staff to accommodate special dietary needs and restrictions
• Uphold excellent food service standards by ensuring timely delivery of hot and cold dishes to guests
• Manage kitchen inventory, assist with ordering supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients

Requirements

• Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a related culinary role within the food industry or restaurant setting
• Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
• Experience working in dietary departments or with dietary aides is a plus
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Familiarity with menu planning, catering, and fine dining standards is highly desirable
• Excellent teamwork skills combined with a positive attitude and strong communication abilities
