We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, menu planning, and ensuring food safety standards are met within the dietary department. This position requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu plans.
• Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
• Assist in menu planning and development, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service of meals during busy periods.
• Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages or needs for replenishment.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food service practices.

Experience

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with meal preparation techniques, culinary skills, and food safety practices is essential.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques within the food industry is highly desirable.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
