Position: Grill Cook
Reports To: Store Manager
Position Summary:
The Grill Cook is responsible for daily production of all proteins following recipes and proper cook, reheat, hold and chill procedures. This cook precooks items as directed by the daily production guide and continues to cook these items as needed throughout the day according to sales volume. During open hours, the grill cook takes direction from the expeditor and cooks or reheats all items prepared on the flat top grills as orders come into the kitchen. The Grill Cook must communicate effectively and react immediately when ticket items are called ensuring that Ghassan’s time standards are met. This cook must focus on the delivery of superior quality products while maintaining profitability. The Grill cook operates by following proper food handling and sanitation guidelines and maintaining a clean work space at all times.
The ideal candidate has a friendly demeanor, can multi-task, and can complete projects in a timely manner. This person should demonstrate excellent organizational skills, customer service skills, and problem-solving skills. The Grill Cook must be a highly motivated individual who is self-driven and eager to accept additional responsibilities when needed.
